Malinche and WAH, The Musical Shows That Triumph At IFEMA Madrid

IFEMA is synonymous with music, good music. The Madrid Exhibition Centre attracts millions of national and international visitors, not just for FITUR, ARCOmadrid and other prestigious events.

Due to its excellent communication (it is located at number 5 Avenida del Partenón, in the Barajas district), those attending IFEMA Madrid have the opportunity to stay a few meters from the venue. Examples of hotels near IFEMA include the Hotel täCH Madrid, 5 minutes away, and the Hotel Clement Barajas, just 5 minutes away.

Beyond fairs and congresses, the IFEMA pavilions base their success on the diversity of their leisure offer, one of the largest in the Capital. In this sense, the shows, festivals and concerts that flood its more than 80 halls and 13 Pavilions with music and color are remarkable. Today, ‘Malinche, the musical by Nacho Cano’ and WAH Madrid are the events that triumph at IFEMA during the weekends.

Malinche, a musical to celebrate the meeting between two peoples and cultures

The New World is a source of inspiration for novels, feature films, and—since September 15—musicals of extraordinary quality. With ‘Malinche, the musical by Nacho Cano’, the Madrid composer and former member of the Mecano group brings one of the great events in history to the IFEMA stages.

The encounter (and by collision) between two peoples and cultures called to be twinned: Mexico and Spain. In the words of its organizers, “Malinche is the celebration of the life of an extraordinary and little-known woman [Malinalli, Doña Marina or Malinche] who navigated between two apparently opposing worlds and mediated between two cultures on the verge of an inevitable conflict.”

Drama and romance merge in the musical Malinche, which serves as the stage for the presentation of Nacho Cano’s latest single, ‘Destino México Mágico’, rightly defined as “a hymn to diversity”, which will not leave his fans or audiences indifferent. casual attendees.

Malinche also surprises with a most creative staging, a true prodigy of lighting, sets, costumes, makeup, etc., made by the renowned workshops Molla and Estudio Arte Herrador. It will remain on the bill until June 30, and can be enjoyed from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

WAH Madrid, an unrepeatable ‘gastro’ and musical experience

“Come and enjoy the best show in the world in the purest Las Vegas and Broadway style.” With this claim, IFEMA’s WAH Madrid invites you to taste dishes and cocktails from around the world, praised with a highly innovative musical accompaniment, by the hand of voices and artists from Broadway and Eurovision who have already triumphed in ‘The Lion King’, ‘ The Voice’ or ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, among others.

Structurally, the experience is divided into four acts: the Food Hall, a street market where you can taste the most exotic dishes, spread over 14 stations; the WAH Theatre, a show where technology and music go hand in hand; the aftershow, a moment to relax and mingle at a party with DJs and cocktails; and the WAH Store, a revolutionary store concept where you can enjoy a bit of shopping.

WAH Madrid is a creative project born from the inventiveness of the Music Has No Limits production company. Regarding its schedules, it is available from Thursday to Saturday from 7:30 p.m., when the main session begins, while the aftershow takes place from 11:15 p.m. to 01:00 a.m. On Saturdays and Sundays it celebrates its lunch and show at 1:00 p.m. and its aftershow at 5:15 p.m. It will remain open to the public until September 30, 2024.
